Quick-service restaurants are literally your worst option at EPCOT from a cuisine quality and fun perspective. The first is the variety of alcoholic beverages, several of which are fairly pricey and are Disney Dining Plan eligible.

Second, is the universally-appealing well, at least to carnivores Memphis Dry-rub Pork Ribs. This is the most expensive entree, and gives you the choice of a side and garlic toast. Louis Ribs entree instead. As far as snacks and sides go, the French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese are a solid choice. Roaring Fork — Located at Wilderness Lodge, we highly recommend taking the boat to Roaring Fork for a meal and midday escape from Magic Kingdom.

There are basically two reasons to do this, both of which are pictured above. On the left is the Country-style Baked Meatloaf Served with Buttery Green Peas, Chunky Mashed Potatoes, and Gravy. On the right is the Barbecued Brisket and Burnt Ends Served with Potato Hash, Fiery Coleslaw, and Cornbread.

As for a third reason, the atmosphere at Wilderness Lodge is second-to-none. My personal favorite is the newer Ocean Moon Bowl , which features blue noodles and tuna, among many other colorful things. The other bowls give you the option to choose among the fresh, high quality, and delicious ingredients to make something healthy, heavy and decadent, or in between.

Aside from the Ocean Moon Bowl, the Combination Bowl is the way to go—both are great values on the DDP! All three are awesome, and highly recommended.

Even beyond that, there are several entrees that are good picks in terms of Disney Dining Plan value. That plus the specialty alcoholic beverages really elevate the value here into the top tier.

By contrast, nearby Ronto Roasters offers delicious options that are poor uses of DDP credits. Polite Pig — One of the relatively recent additions to Disney Springs, Polite Pig is another BBQ joint. Following our most recent visit here, we consider Polite Pig a must-eat meal on the Disney Dining Plan.

Above is what we ordered. As covered in that post, those are the two best bang for your DDP credit meals. Overall, the price differences at Counter Service restaurants are less drastic than they are at Table Service restaurants, but you can still come out ahead by eating at the right Counter Service restaurants.

The Country-style Baked Meatloaf was shockingly good, being incredibly juicy, flavorful, and having just the right amount of fattiness. Not too lean, not too greasy and fatty—the goldilocks zone.

Which is patently absurd, and speaks more to the frequent dryness of the real meatloaf than the quality of the cheatloaf. The buttery green peas were…present. Another highly, highly recommended dish at Roaring Fork.

I say that not as a flex to demonstrate the strength of my stomach, but rather, because I ordered both of these dishes for myself fully assuming half of each would be borderline inedible and I could finish the leftovers before Early Entry at Magic Kingdom the next morning.

I was absolutely shocked at how good all of this was. The potato hash was hardly bad, it was just unremarkable. Point being, this way exceeded my expectations. The portions were also larger than I expected, and half of each became lunch the following day. So much for that stomach of steel!

I mentioned that this meal was better than Diamond Horseshoe hands down. These two dishes at Roaring Fork are borderline table service cuisine caliber. Note: this sentiment does NOT apply to the rest of the Roaring Fork menu.

First, both of these dishes are on the pricey end of the spectrum as far as Walt Disney World counter service entrees go. Moreover, these high prices will become an asset next year when the Disney Dining Plan returns. Thanks to these two entrees, Roaring Fork will join our List of the Best Counter Service Counter Service Credit Uses on the Disney Dining Plan.

Definitely something to keep in mind if you want a high-quality and satisfying use of those DDP credits! You can still order them upon arrival at Roaring Fork. Ultimately, this advice really only applies to Walt Disney World regulars or those with longer trips who want elevated comfort cuisine on a tighter budget or turnaround time.

With that said, a strong argument can be made for not sleeping on Roaring Fork if you want a less expensive or less time-consuming meal. Those were the exact circumstances that led me to this, as I wanted to enjoy the awesome new Boulder Ridge room while eating!

Regardless, Roaring Fork is considerably cheaper than most of its counterparts at Wilderness Lodge, and serves hearty portion sizes of comfort food favorites. Planning a Walt Disney World trip? The Plaza Restaurant scheduled for refurbishment in February 11 years ago. It's not a place I would try to get back to, but it was a good place to just sit and eat decent food. It was a decent experience. I would highly recommend to save a TS meal for almost any other restaurant I've dined at at WDW.

You can get most of the entree items offered at The Plaza at quick service locations throughout the resort. The only thing that set this dining experience apart was the dessert. I have eaten there a couple times now and have a reservation for this weekend.

For table service the price is great as well. I think it might be the best value in MK for a meal. The place is small and the wait can be longer than ideal without a reservation at dinner time, but the food and service is excellent - nothing fancy, but definitely good quality.
